The accident happened near Narketpally on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada route. Two crew members, who were sitting in the front seat of the bus, were injured in the collision. They were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.The other members of the crew were not injured. Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna were not in the bus at the time of the accident.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. However, police suspect that the driver of the Pushpa: The Rule bus may have been drowsy at the wheel.
The film's director, Sukumar, has expressed his concern for the injured crew members. He has also assured fans that the shooting of the film will not be affected by the accident.
Pushpa: The Rule is the sequel to the 2021 blockbuster film Pushpa: The Rise. The film is set in the red sanders smuggling world of Andhra Pradesh. Allu Arjun will reprise his role as Pushpa Raj, while Rashmika Mandanna will play Srivalli.
The film is scheduled to be released in December 2023.
